Blogging Fringe

Blogging Fringe was created by Liberatr.net for the purpose of chronicling and reviewing the Orlando Fringe Festival. Three intrepid bloggers - Ryan Price, Emily Scott, and Katharine Miller - were determined to capture and publicize the events of the 2006 festival.
It is this endeavor’s sincere hope to capture the spirit of one of Orlando’s most significant cultural events. The work continues through the off-season with a series of open discussions involving Fringe Producers, Patrons, Organizers and Performers. As the 2007 Fringe draws ever closer, we will be covering every show beforehand with text, audio, video - anything we can manage. A team of volunteers is being assembled to aid in the collection, editing and management of this volume of information. Ryan Price and the Blogging Fringe Street Team, along with Cervo Systems are offering their time and resources to make sure Fringe continues to grow - Blogging Fringe will be the home of those efforts.

If you have a suggestion for an interview subject, or if you are interested in conducting an interview of your own, you are welcome to do so. Anyone interested in becoming a field correspondent should contact Ryan Price (info [at] liberatr dot net) for more information.

The Student of the Game

For the fans who want to hear something EXTRA to what the analysts offer. Those who recognize teams and players YOU want to hear about and the in depth performance analysis that TELL you what the STATS REALLY MEAN!!
Check the image of the game from an actual fan rather then from the view of someone who sits at a desk in front of a camera enjoying their cushy retirement job blabbing at the camera.
The Student of the Game is sometimes published as a written column, and other times as a podcast talkshow, often featuring other football fans and commentators as guests. If you would like to talk to Kyle, the host of the show, check out the SOtG Forum or email Kyle at sotg@thestudentofthegame.com.
You Can’t Spell Crapface Without PFA

Two Pretentious Twentysomethings talk about life, local music, and whatever they want to. A funny, irreverent look at modern pop culture and the Orlando music scene through the eyes of Myla Goldberg and the Captain of the Other Team. This show possesses “no self-indulgent narcissism whatsoever”, as sarcastically put by Myla’s boyfriend John. Weekly episodes often feature local musicians, event announcements, existential discussions, wine-induced rants, and inside jokes aplenty. Many people have expressed the refreshing quality of the style of the show, which is like “a good conversation between friends”, and listening to the podcast will let you witness the conversation.
Aside from the web page, there is also a MySpace page at myspace.com/pfalliance. Myla and the Captain are always looking for comments, reactions to the show, questions, topic suggestions and even offers to be a guest star or a venue for the show. You can contact Myla Goldberg at pfa.myla@gmail.com and the Captain of the Other Team at pfalliance@gmail.com.
