Just a quick reminder that the next Florida Creatives Happy Hour is less than 24 hours from now.
Event Page & RSVP
Monday, May 21, 2007
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Loch Haven Park
900 E Princeton St
Orlando, Florida 32803
Our tent is in between the Orlando Museum of Art, the Orlando Rep and the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre. We have a blue tent between a Gyro stand and a Margarita stand. It is pretty easy to find. If you arrive too late, parking might be tight - there is free parking on Mills Ave or paid parking in the Science Center garage on Princeton.
Beer is NOT provided by Orlando Brewing... sorry for the mistake. They have Budweiser, a Heffeweisen, Kirin, Grolsch, and an unnamed Light Beer with a fish as the tap, as well as red and white wines. All of the beers & wine require a coupon which costs $3 per drink. This is a donation to support the Fringe Festival, and the price is set per coupon.
There are probably 8 or 10 food vendors, with some diverse options - please support these vendors so they'll come back next year!
If you want to see any shows, you'll need a $6 button first - this is your pass. After that, you buy tickets to individual shows ranging from $5 to $10 with an extra $1 surcharge. You can buy and print tickets online as well, if you know what you want to see.
There are 77 shows from all around the world this year - solo shows, musicals, comedies, clowns, dance, and drama. I am also working non-stop on a site to keep day-to-day updates on the festival called Blogging Fringe - I have tried to be as comprehensive as possible. The festival runs through next Monday the 28th, so you have plenty of time to check out some great shows!
This is going to be the best Florida Creatives yet, but only if you guys make it happen - I've gotten all the preparations, venue, entertainment, food & drink - you just need to show up and be yourselves.
Hope to see you tomorrow.
